Comment:

South Korean President Park Geu-hye is facing calls for her resignation after she accepted blame for a political scandal that has damaged her administration.  Critics of the embattled president claim that she was manipulated by a close friend and unnamed power brokers close to the South Korean government.

Park has vowed to cooperate in a formal investigation as opponents press for her removal from domestic affairs.

Park has admitted to having a close friend who introduced her to “cult religions” and helped her hold “shamanistic rites” in the presidential Blue House.  Following these revelations, her popularity rating has fallen to 5%.

It appears President Park’s political career is over.  The last president that used cult religion in government was the late “Papa Doc” Duvalier of Haiti, who often resorted to the local “Voodo” religion and special police teams to enforce his decrees.
